What a Couples Session Looks Like
In this lesson, Ginny turns her attention to how she works with two people in the same room, each carrying a completely different internal world, trying to find each other across the distance.
Many people are rightfully trepidatious about entering into couples work, because they have no idea where to even begin. There’s so much water under the bridge, and so much history to account for. Something distinct happens when two people bring their nervous systems, their longing, and their protection into direct contact. The dynamics that emerge (the loops that keep repeating, the moments where connection seems to close off suddenly, the feeling of speaking different languages even when you're using the same words) require a different kind of attention than one-to-one work.
This lesson is for individuals who are in partnership and want to understand their dynamic more clearly, and anyone who has ever wondered why a relationship that makes complete sense on paper can still feel so impossibly difficult in practice.
Ginny brings her years of direct couples work, and her foundational frameworks around child consciousness and nervous system regulation into a teaching that makes the invisible visible.
